Health Data Sync
Q: What data does mojo track?
| Data Type | iOS (Apple Health) | Android (Health Connect) |
|---|---|---|
| Weight / Body fat | ✅ | ✅ |
| Steps / Active calories | ✅ | ✅ |
| Workouts | ✅ | ✅ |
| Nutrition (calories / protein / carbs / fat) | ✅ | ✅ |
| Sleep | ✅ | ✅ |
| Water intake | ✅ | ✅ |
| Menstrual cycle | ✅ | ✅ |
Injection records, side effects, and body measurements (muscle mass, waist circumference, etc.) are entered manually and do not rely on a health platform.
Q: Is Apple Health / Health Connect required?
No, but it’s highly recommended. mojo is designed for effortless logging: automatic sync of nutrition, exercise, sleep, and hydration eliminates manual data entry. It aggregates data from multiple apps and devices (MyFitnessPal, Apple Watch, Garmin, etc.).
Injection records, side effects, and body measurements support manual entry. Nutrition can also be entered manually or imported via deep link.
Q: How do I authorize Apple Health? (iOS)
- Open the mojo app
- Go to the Settings tab → Apple Health Sync
- Tap Authorize
- Select the data types to share (enabling all is recommended)
- Tap Allow
To re-authorize (if you accidentally denied access):
- Open the Health app (iOS system app)
- Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner
- Find mojo and tap it
- Enable read access for all data types
Q: Which apps and devices do you recommend?
Calorie tracking:
- MyFitnessPal (free) — largest food database
- Calory (paid) — clean interface with AI food recognition
Exercise & sleep:
- Apple Watch — automatic exercise and sleep tracking
- Garmin — professional sports watch (syncs via Apple Health / Health Connect)
- Oura Ring — focused on sleep tracking
Body composition:
- Omron HBF-702T — body fat scale with Bluetooth sync
- Inbody H30 — professional body composition analysis with Wi-Fi sync
Q: Why can’t I see muscle mass data?
Apple Health and Health Connect do not support “skeletal muscle mass” as a data type, so mojo cannot fetch it automatically. You need to enter muscle mass data manually in the app.
Q: Will my Garmin watch data sync?
Garmin watch exercise and health data syncs first to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), and mojo then reads from those platforms.
Note: Some Garmin models may not write “Active Calories” to Health Connect. mojo handles this by falling back to “Total Calories Burned” for the calculation.
Injection Tracking
Q: How do I log an injection?
- Open the Today tab
- Find the injection progress block above the chart
- Tap the block
- Fill in the date, medication name, and dose
- Tap Save
Q: Can I edit or delete an injection record?
Yes. Go to the Settings tab → Data Management → Injection Records, then tap the record you want to edit or delete.
Note: Deleting an injection record will affect the progress charts.
Body Measurements
Q: How do I log weight, body fat, and muscle mass?
Auto-sync (recommended):
- Use a scale that supports Apple Health / Health Connect
- Step on the scale and the data syncs to mojo automatically
Manual entry:
- Go to the Settings tab → Data Management → Body Measurements
- Tap the + button in the top-right corner
- Enter the measurement values
- Tap Save
Q: Why isn’t measurement data showing on the progress chart?
Possible reasons:
- No injection records: The chart uses injection dates as its reference points
- Measurement date outside the window: Measurements must be within 3 days before or after an injection
- Measurement value is 0: Check that the data was entered correctly
Solutions:
- Add at least 1 injection record
- Make sure measurements fall within 3 days of an injection
- Verify the measurement values are correct
AI Analysis
Q: What is Micro-feedback?
Brief feedback:
- Displayed at the top of the Today tab
- Auto-generated when data changes
- Real-time encouragement and reminders
Example:
You hit your step goal today — great work! Don’t forget to get enough protein.
Q: What is the full AI report?
Comprehensive analysis (multi-paragraph):
- Displayed on the mojo tab
- Covers weight loss progress, nutrition, exercise, and sleep analysis
- Personalized recommendations and risk alerts
Q: How often does the AI analysis update?
Triggers:
- Data changes (adding/editing nutrition, exercise, sleep, or measurements)
- 30-second cooldown period
- At least 5 minutes since the last analysis
Q: Can I fully trust the AI recommendations?
No:
- AI recommendations are for reference only
- They cannot replace professional medical advice
- Consult a doctor or dietitian for any health concerns
- Medication dose adjustments must be made under doctor’s guidance
Progress Charts
Q: What does the X-axis represent?
The X-axis is based on your injection record dates. Each injection date shows one data point, with the value coming from measurements taken within 3 days before or after that injection.
Q: Why is there no data point for a particular injection date?
There are no measurements within 3 days before or after that injection. We recommend building a habit of measuring before each injection, or using a scale that syncs automatically.
Q: How do I change the chart time range?
- Go to the Progress tab
- Tap the time selector above the chart
- Choose: 1 month / 3 months / 6 months / All
